Laser cutting of sheets and plates

Hosta Industries has worked with laser cutting of sheets and plates as a manufacturing process for many years, and as early as 1995, Hosta Industries acquired the first laser plate cutter. Today, we have two departments with seven laser cutting machines – five of them for sheets and plate. Laser cutting is a flexible, non-contact method for the cutting of sheets and plates, and the method ensures that scratches and uneven cut surfaces are avoided entirely.

Laser cutting is a thermal cutting process, which allows cutting of a very high quality in all types of material, from 0.5 to 20 mm thicknesses. The cutting result is precise, and it is possible to produce parts with 0.1 mm accuracy with sharp corners and a minimum of heat impact.

In addition to laser cutting of sheets and plates, we also carry out laser cutting of tubes.

We offer laser cutting of sheets and plates using fibre laser cutting.

Fibre lasers have a high cutting speed and can cut up to one metre of sheet or plate per second. The machines are highly automated with automatic sheet and plate handling and palletising of finished workpieces. This contributes to reducing energy consumption and the cost of laser sheet and plate cutting. This means that we can offer you, the customer, a good price for the job and to respect the environment at the same time.

Our laser cutting machines are freely accessible from three sides, making it easy to place the sheets and plates. The machines are also fitted with pallet exchangers for optimum efficiency, as well as so-called by-loaders.
